The sodium bisulfite injection system is a complete system designed to protect the carbon filters against premature exhaustion caused by excessive chlorine, chloramines, and other oxidants. The system is completely automatic. Periodic chlorine checks of the effluent water will ensure that the chemical dosage is sufficient. Periodic replacement of the chemical container will be necessary.

The injection systems include:

1. Water protected enclosure which houses the pump control panel with terminal bar for external switch connections, mode selection switch and indicator lights;
2. Chemical feed pump with injector;
3. Chlorine Monitor/Controller;
4. Chemical tank (Optional).
